How do you remove the convertible top switch on a 1972 Lemans?

If my memory serves me right, that switch is mounted flush on the dash panel. You probably have to get under the dash and move spring clips that hold it from the back side of the dash. Had a 72 Skylark which is basically the same car and that's how the switch was help in. You have to be a bit of a contortionist.
