Its very easy.
look under the dash assembly in the passenger side of vehicle. there should be one bolt to unscrew and the ECM will simply drop down, orate may be stubborn and you may need to help it slide down.....simply disconnect harness and reverse install.
The ECM on a 1992 S10 Blazer is located below the glove box.

You don't, it is done by the ECM (Engine Control Module).
The ecm would be in the passenger side kick panel.
You do not ,you replace it .
under the dashboard on the passenger side. take the kick panel out and u will see it
The temp sensor for the ECM (engine control module) is next to the thermostat housing.
There is no timing to set. The timing is controlled by the ECM with signals it receives from various sensors.
An alternator from a 2000 Chevy blazer will fit a 2002 S10 blazer with a little fabrication.
Replace it with a new one, there is no repairing it.
