How do you replace the thermostat located on a 2001 Ford ZX2?

At the engine end of the top radiator hose, bolted to the engine, under the coil assembly is the t-stat housing held on with three 8mm bolts. The t-stat is under that housing.

how about adding a short video The cooling system needs to be drained. Follow the large top hose from the rad to the engine. Under the hose connector is the thermostat. Undo the bolts and lift off the connector and replace the thermostat. Take it in to the parts store to ensure a proper replacement. Replace and fill the system with coolant and check for leaks.

follow the upper radiator hose from the radiator to the engine this is where youwill find the thermostat housing. remove ther housing and you'll be looking at the thermostat. it is realy easy
