How do I install a turn signal switch for a Chevy 2000 Impala? WHere is the old part that I need to replace?
it is cool
On my 2001 it is part of the Hazard switch. You have to replace the entire switch on a 2001.
I've had to replace mines twice this year for varies reasons on my 02. what's your question?
The combination turn signal, cruise control, windshield wiper, and headlight dimmer switch simply plugs in. Pull the relay switch out and replace with the new switch.
disassemble steering column, and replace signal arm ass'y
There is not a fuel shutoff.
none
if you have an aftermarket radio or if there was ever one installed then it would be the hazard light switch. it works as a relay for the stereo and lights. Replace it and you should be fine. Ebay says liek $60 but its only like $30 at the dealer.
the hazardlight switch is where the blinkers flash, take the vent out under the hazards switch then reach up in there behind the haz. switch

Yes, the 2000 Impala does have an inertia switch that is specifically for the fuel pump. The black thing with the red top next to the ball of the wiring under the kick panel is what is called the inertia switch.
