Turn your key to on position (not start).
Immediately depress the gas pedal fully (floor it) three times fast.
Watch the light, if you do it properly after a few seconds it will flash a few times and go out. Sometimes you have to do it a few times to get the timing right.
NEW ANSWER: That is almost right. But here's what you do. Turn key on do not start then push the gas pedal all the way to the floor 3 times being sure to let all the way off of it each time then turn the key OFF and then start the engine. You have about 5 seconds to do all of this.
If you were successful the light will flash 5 times.
