by opening it using the keys
The key number used to be the same as on the glove box lock and you can take the glove box lock apart and find out the key number OR you can take the rear seat out and with a couple of loooong extensions and a ratchet and socket, remove the striker in the trunk. Lots of luck
how do i replace a trunk lock with another lock that has a key

Need to know what the vehicle is.
TO GET INTO THE TRUNK OF A 89 MAXIMA YOU MUST TAKE THE BACK SEAT OUT AND CLIMB IN AN MANUALLY RELEASE THE LOCK.
With a key. Take the back seat out and reach through and either take the bolts out that hold the lock in or some newer cars have an emergency release in the trunk so that you can not be car jacked and put in the trunk.
Doesn't it have a key lock also?, if not you will have to take the back seat out and crawl through and open it from the inside, there should be a handle on the lock on the inside of the trunk that you can pull and it will open.
It should just have a slide clip that holds it in.
There are a few options. If the trunk and door locks take the same key, take one of the door locks out and take it to a good locksmith. They can cut you a new one. You can also drill out the lock, using a progressively larger bit until the lock bar can be taken out. You can pry, rip and pull the lock out....at the same time probably destroying the trunk lid. The only other option I can tell you, is to remove the back seat. If you're lucky, there will be enough room for you to crawl into the trunk area enough to reach the lock mechanism so that you can remove it and open the trunk.
Easy take of the black cover with a hammer, Break out the tail lamp assembly and cut out the lock
On my 1992 190E I can lock the trunk with any of the keyed locks. If you lock the doors, the trunk locks and if you lock the trunk, the doors lock. In other words all the keyed locks are electrically interconnected. In reality the locks are not electrically interconnected. There is a pump in the right side wheel well of the trunk, it uses vacuum to lock all the locks and pressure to unlock them. Although the pump is powered electrically, the locks are not.
* Remove the trunk lid latch * Detach the lock release box from the latch assembly * To detach the lock cylinder from the trunk lid pry off the retainer
