The adult human body only needs 4 hours of continuous sleep to fully rejuvenate ... A child need much more as much as 8 - 10 hours of sleep ..

All people differ, some require more sleep than others. There is no set minimum or maximum. The human body is largely self regulating in this respect. When you are tired you sleep more.

I have added a link supporting my previous answer that 7-8 hours is the accepted norm for the 'average' adult.

On average, a 50-year-old adult should aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night for optimal health and well-being. However, individual sleep needs can vary, so it's important to listen to your body and adjust your sleep duration accordingly. It's recommended to establish a consistent sleep schedule and prioritize good sleep habits for overall health.

About 10 hours. More than this would make them feel a little bit more alive.
