The one-term elected presidents of the 19th century were John Quincy Adams, Martin Van Buren, Wm Harrison, James Polk, Zachary Taylor, Franklin Pierce, James Buchanan, Rutherford Hayes, and Benjamin Harrison. Wm Harrison and Taylor died during their first and only term and so had no chance for a second term.
