i have a 92 s10 4.3 and it took me awhile to get mine working, after replacing clutch set. i had hard pedal so i replaced slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder. it really helps to bench bleed them before you install them , might get alittle messy but well worth the effort. then after i had everything hooked up i left the slave cylinder off the bell housing while pumping the fork pin slowly into the slave cylinder to push air up and out of the fluid container. this was the only way i could get the slave to give enuff pressure to release the clutch. took me about 6 times before i could see the clutch working thru inspection hole. hope this helps
As i believe, from experience of owning one, 1984 is when the hydraulic clutch came into place. You shouldn't need to bleed the clutch on an 83' S10. Not unless its not the stock transmission.
The fan clutch on a 1997 S10 has a bolt on the center of the front. Remove the bolt while holding the clutch still. There is a special tool to grab the clutch fan from the rear to hold it while removing the bolt.
bleed it the same way u would bleed the brakes the bleeder is on the driver side of the trans on the bell housing
Yes, the clutch throwout bearing is hydraulically operated.
Either the clutch master cylinder or the clutch slave cylinder or the clutch hydraulic lines are leaking.
how do you replace hydraulic line on a 1997 s-10
Bleed the clutch. Same way you would bleed you brakes.
7/16 or 11mm
1997 S10 4 cylinder engine pressure plate to flywheel bolts, 33 ft lbs.1997 S10 V6 engine pressure plate to flywheel bolts, 29 ft lbs.
Usually there are 4 nuts holding the clutch and fan on to the water pump shaft. Just pull the nuts, remove the fan clutch and replace it.
The same way you would for brakes. Pump the clutch 4 or 5 time and hold down then open the bleeder valve to release the air. Is it the 2.8L V6 motor?
where and how to adjust clutch pedal 1993 s10 It is hydraulic operated, there is no adjustment.
