The heater motor on the Peugeot 306 is under the glove box, in the passenger footwell.

First, remove the sound proofing panel, this clips off. Inside you will see the fan assembly is offset towards the left side (towards the passenger door hinge). There are 3 screws which need to be remove, 2 of which are towards the front, near the 3 pin electrical block which supplied power to the heater blower motor.

Unscrew the 3 screws after removing the electrical connector. A sharp tug downwards will free the motor itself, and a little twisting and turning will remove it. You should be able to do this in about 10-20 minutes usually.

Replacing is simply the reverse of this. I would suggest that any replacement motor is tested before you fit it in, it takes only a few seconds to test and will save you time.
