How to reset the change oil light indicator on 2004 Pontiac Grand Am?

Turn ignition to "ON", slowly press accelerator to the floor three times within five seconds, wait a few seconds and you will hear three tones, the "Change Oil" light will turn off. Turn the ignition to "OFF" and the light will be reset.this is the only way it will work i know from experience i own a 2004 Pontiac grandam and when the people change my oil they never reset the thing and a few weeks and a couple hundred miles later the light always comes on!!! take my advise do it like this be patient and get it right the first time though cuz you'll flood it if you don't and have to repeat more than twice.

I have a 2004 GA and I had to turn the key to on and press the gas 3 times and then press the brake 3times the oil light went off and then I started the car and it was off for good. Hope this helps.

I am answering my own question after discovering the solution through trial and error:

There are 4 key ignition settings: Off, Acc, On, Start Turn key to the On position, quickly press the gas pedal 3 times, then turn key clockwise to Start position and actually start the car. You'll hear it chime at you and the change oil indicator light will flash and disappear.

1. Some told me to press the red reset button in the fuse panel. My 2004 Grand Am GT does not have a red re-set button on the driver's side fuse panel. There's lots of red fuses already pushed in as far as they will go, but there is no other red button.

2. Some said to turn the key to ON, press gas pedal 3 times, turn it off, then start car. This did not work on my car.

3. Some said to turn the key to ON, press brake pedal 3 times, then start car. This did not work on my car.
