The best way is to replace the drain plug with a new one. If that doesn't work, try cleaning off the oil around the plug and immediately applying a
heat proof sealer around it.
Replace the gasket with a fiber gasket.
There is an o ring on the plug that will need replaced.
Fitting that holds pop-up assembly tight to drain body, or, tailpiece, needs tightened. Tighten fitting enough to stop leak, not so tight that pop-up assembly won't operate properly.
Drain, flush, and refill.

if i remember correctly, once plug is turned counterclockwise to a stop, you must pull drain plug out slightly for antifreeze to drain.
Be careful - some of these products can plug the heater core
The bath filler waste is directly connected to the trap and overflow water is supposed to drain there -it is not a leak.
First take off the Carborator. Then for a quick stop problem pour pepper into the oil tank, the pepper will expand and plug the leak. Sounds crazy but it works.
Stop leak will generally plug up holes u want plugged, but they will also plug up holes u don't want plugged. Better to fix the heater core.
You have a few options. I it is not stripped just replace the gasket. If the threads are stripped or cross threaded, you need to have it repaired at a welding shop. They can easily fix this problem. Purchase a new drain plug and seek out a good shop.
