Is the mirror pedestal loose at the door skin, or is the bucket loose at the pedestal? The door panel has to come off first. The pedestal nuts can be accessed under the outer seal. If the bucket is loose, the mirror must be removed from the door, two screws are up inside the pedestal. If I remember correctly it should be a T-20 or T-25 torx bit. Have fun!
The same thing happened to me and my mechanic opted for... silicone jelly instead of
a replacement (which i am quite certain is necessary otherwise and perpostourously expensive because its the whole unit... not just some attatchment piece)
plus silicone jelly is pretty elastic so it will turn if needed (but only when it's really needed)
i mean it is glue... but it has worked phenomenally
Better --correct the root cause.
The pedestal is loose because the "press-nutwasher" has come off. There are 2 parts to the mirror assy. The base(bottom section) and the mirror housing. Those 2 pcs are held together by the press nut which grips the post protruding up from the base unit.
The entire assy must be removed from the door .This means the inside door panel is removed first. The (3) 10mm nuts that hold the mirror assy to the door are accessed thru the 2 rubber ports using an extension ratchet.
The wiring harness has 2 clips to disconnect ;then pull the harness from the car carefully with the mirror assy.
The mirror itself is attached to its plastic ABS frame using silicne rubber and the 2 can be separated carefully to gain access to inside of mirror housing. The mirror is curved and expensive so careful.
I cut all 8 color coded wires--no need to cut the 2 black heater wires -they have slide clips. Do not worry--these wire are reattached using inexpensive insulated crimp type butt connectors--keeping faith with the color codes.
Now you can see the post /spring/press nut assembly which need to be reassembled.
If anyone is out there I'll email a pic of the jig I made to press the nut back on the post.

If the mirror is loose at the door;
Remove the inner door panel, 2 felt pads holding the door glass in place, and lower the window. You will see 2 nuts that attach the mirror, pry the door glass away from that side and block it back with a piece of wood or such. Tighten nuts.
If the mirror is loose at the attachment from the head to the stalk;
Proceed as above except remove the 2 nuts. Remove the mirror. Inside the stalk you will see 2 screws. Tighten them. That will tighten the head to the stalk. Beyond that you're on your own!
You need to remove the door panels. Once the panels are off, you can tighten the mirrors. Go to either of the following websites (depends on type of mirror you have) and it will show how to remove the door panels.

If it is loose in the head, replace it. If it is loose where it mounts, take the trim panel off and tighten the screws.
On the door there should be a triangular panel that you can carefully pry off which is located right where mirror attaches to door and after you remove you can see screw/nuts.
Tighten terminal. If terminal is worn (will not become tight at all), replace.
buy new bushings if needed for the rod and tighten the clamps holding the bushings
Well to start with the question is a bit vague. A pulley has nothing to do with a start operation; a loose pulley may cause the belt not to turn fast enough to charge the battery and that's as far as it goes. Check your belt tension. If loose tighten it. That's All
spring loaded tensioner does not get tightened. id belt is loose either the belt is stretched and needs replacing, or the tensioner is worn out and needs replacing
Depending on the year, yes. Release the outer lock nut, tighten the inner screw but not too tight, in fact you might want to back it off enough that the bearings don't bind, maybe a 1/4 or 1/8 turn. Then tighten the lock nut again. But generally loose steering is caused by loose tie rod ends or pitman arms.

The only way to tighten the rear view mirror on a Vauxhall Corsa is to replace the base. It is glued onto the window and gluing a new one or re-gluing the old one is the only way to fix a loose mirror.
there should be a screw on the mounting plate for your mirror. most of then are a hex head bolt the just holds the mirror to the mounting plate. look at where the mirror connects to the windshield, that's where the bolt should be.
Remove the mirror trim panel ( inside - Triangular piece lined up w/ the outside mirror)...pop/pry this out .....Their should be three bolts.....tighten them if they are loose....If that does not fix it then remove the 3 bolts and if you have power mirrors unplug the connector as well ......then see if the if anything is bored out or mis-threaded! hope this helps
The outside door handle on the driver's side is loose on the right side not the left. I found the screw for the out side left after taking the door panel off but could not find how to tighten the outside right of the handle. How is it connected ?

the mounting tab is held in place by a spring clip and cant be tightened if the mounting or the pivots are loose the mirror will have to be replaced. an universal one can be glued to the inside of the wind sheild. it shoul be in the center and about 3 inches down from the top
Take inner door panel off and the plastic deflector paper and there are 2 10 millimeter bolts that hold the handle on, tighten the bolts and your all set.
To tighten a loose drive belt, find the pully that is connected to the belt. Tighten the pully and then hold the belt in place using the adjuster belt. Check out the related video to see an example of how this is done.
You can not tighten a T-Rod end up. If it is loose then replace it.
