Replace the handle. You will need to remove the door panel to replace the handle. If you can't do this yourself take it to the dealer. They should charge you about 1.0 to 2.0 hours labor to do this, plus the part.

The answer will depend on the part needing replacement. Is the cable broken? Do you need part of the handle or brake mechanism or are the brake shoes worn out? Determine the problem then either visit your local Toyota dealer or check online for the replacement part cost. Cheers

First hello , 1. Carefully remove the inner panel from your door, watch carefully for a pair of screws you have to take out. 2. Remove window handle ( if not power window ) it has a retaining ring which comes out using a thin and long screw driver. ( if power window carefull with the wires ). 3. With the window closed carefully locate the handle, carefully remove the what looks like a solid wire from the old handle from a green or yellow plastic retainer, then unscrew the two # 10 nuts. 4. Replace with the new handle and put everything back together again.

I have a 2000 Toyota camery that the drivers door handle on the outside broke - not an easy job, the door must be taken a part, and there are screws you don't see that must be taken out so the handle come out. Do yourself a favor, take it to a mechanic who knows Toyota cars, or you will end up with more problems then just a handle.

If its the cables inside you need to remove the panels and replace the cables. You can in a pinch just disconnect them from the handle. Then pull them to release the door.
