Detonation of the fuel caused by timing to high and/or low octane fuel. Have someone check the timing and use a higher octane fuel maybe a booster.
there is actually no problem. it sputters because the engine has to start up and it may be the way you place the key inside the ignition. so don't worry because it isn't a big problem
If the shaking is specific to acceleration and the shaking is very rythmic (not random) it is most likely a fault in the ignition system. Usually a tune up or ignition coil replacement will solve this problem.
Common problem with this engine is the ignition coils.
If a car sputters when it accelerates there may be a problem with the ignition. Another option is that the timing belt is malfunctioning.
That is called "run on." It is usually caused by the ignition timing being too far advanced. If it is an automatic, shut it off in gear, until you get the problem fixed.
check and see if u have a hole in your muffler
Sounds like it is in need of a good tune-up including spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap and rotor.
Could be an ignition coil breaking down at high revs. or the points gap could also be closing at high rev. due to points bouncing..set the dwell at the higher rating Andy
Your truck engine sputters probably because your truck's idle is too low.
your neon sputters from old spark plugs and plug wires. i changed both and problem went away.
need to check your evap system or you have a blown head
Possible problems: 1.Check the firing order of your ignition wires. 2.There could be a water inside of one of the spark plug socket, remove the spark plug and insert a clean dry cloth inside to dry-up the water.
