"what kind of a question is that" Whoever made this response is rude and iresponsible. I think this is a valid and important question. I truly wish I had an answer for you. I would call CPS or a social worker and ask them what measures should be taken to get help for the father and support for the mother while ensuring the children and the mother are able to stay together and safe until they can get the help they need.
