There is a oil pressure sender on the oil filter/cooler assembly. It works between 1.2 and 1.6 bars. I have never heard of a safety cutoff or anything like that. If you go to a VW dealer you will find that the pressure sender part number was revised 3 times. Problems eh. Good luck.
its located on the oil filter housing....
The oil pressure sensor could be defective as they can be clogged over time. You can use an oil stabilizer or replace the sensor if the oil stabilizer does not fix it.
Typically, the oil pressure switch is located on the oil filter adpater near the bottom of the engine on the front side. If your car doesn't have one, there will be an aluminum hex-wrench plug in its place.
The oil pressure sensor on a 1995 VW Jetta GL 2.0L is located on the bottom of the engine, near the oil pan. It provides oil pressure information to the vehicle's computer.
Computer may be malfunctioning. The oil pressure sensor might not be operating properly. The sensor might need to be changed.

It is located at the bottom drivers side of the radiator. It is a round sensor with large hex head that screws into the radiator. Follow the wires from the cooling fans to the sensor.
Idk. I replaced the thermal sensor on mine I also have a 98 jetta didn't work. So it's either the fan switch or the control module fan relay.
The speed sensor in located in the front of the motor. You can find it near the transmission and the engine split line on the Jetta.
