No the ckf and the ckp are not the same sensor for a 2000 Honda civic. The crank fluctuation sensor is behind the crank pulley and can be changed fairly easy with some mechanical knowhow when the timing belt is done. The crank position sensor is built into the distributor. To change this sensor you would have to rebuild the inside of the distributor or replace the entire distributor. Hope this answers your question.
its located in the distributor.
The crankshaft position sensor can be found on the bottom of the engine in a 2000 Honda Civic EX. It is next to the crankshaft itself.
This code is related to the CSF Sensor and it indicates NO signal from it. CSF = Crankshaft Speed Fluctuation This sensor connector is located below by the timing belt (under the intake manifold).
in the distributor
it is located behind the timing belt cover at the bottom half. you will need to remove the belts, crank pulley (reverse threads) and the attaching bolts to the plastic cover. it is the only sensor located next to the crankshaft it self. two wires one blue and one white. goodluck.
in the distribuitor (inner)
inside the distributor
Remove the engine brush cover under the front of the engine. Remove the drive belt to make changing the sensor easier (optional). Remove the lower timing belt cover and the crankshaft pulley to access the crankshaft position sensor. Disconnect the electrical modules from the crankshaft position sensor, located next to the alternator. Take off the bolts with a socket wrench and remove the sensor.
its behind the crank pulley on that gear at the end of the crankshaft on the timing belt side of the motor
NO
Where is the LAF sensor located on a 92 honda civic?
P1362 code indicates a faulty top dead center sensor. It could be the sensor or a distributor problem. There is also the off chance that it is related to the timing belt.
