I have the EGR disabled on my 1990 truck, 5.7.
If i can disable it on my truck without a problem, i cant see why a car wouldn't work, as the engine would be working less.
2 mpg increase in fuel economy.

The purge valve solenoid on your 2001 Chevy Cavalier is located on the side of the engine. It is mounted on the block right below the intake manifold and can be distinguished because of the bracket attached to it.
It is probably located on top of the valve cover on the right hand side of the engine.
The PCV valve on a 2002 Chevy Suburban 6.0 liter engine is located in the engine. You cannot miss the valve.
