The British monarchy and the Canadian monarchy are mutually exclusive. The British monarchy does not form a part of Canadian government.

Her Majesty the Queen is head of State as the Queen of Canada, exclusively of Her Majesty's role as the head of State of other nations. The Queen of Canada is represented by the Governor General, appointed by the Queen on the sole advice of the Canadian prime minister. The Queen's Canadian executive functions are exercised on the advice of the Queen's Privy Council for Canada (as per ss. 11 and 12 of the Constitution Act, 1867).

No.

The Canadian monarchy is shared between sixteen Commonwealth Realms. Her Majesty the Queen is the head of State of each nation independently of Her Majesty's role for the other realms. (For example, the Queen of Canada performs functions on the advice of Canadian ministers only, whereas when acting as Queen of Australia, Her Majesty acts on the advice of Australian ministers only.)

Her Majesty Elizabeth II is The Queen of Canada, a role independent of Her Majesty's role as Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The Queen is represented in Canada by a Governor General, who performs most of the functions of the head of State in the absence of Her Majesty.

No. Canada has its own monarchy, however Elizabeth II is both the Queen of Canada and the UK.

The Statute of Westminster in 1931 stipulates that the Queen of Canada is to be regarded as a legally distinct individual from the Queen of the UK, even if they are currently the same person.

The same is true of each of the 16 countries of which the Queen is head of state.
