I have not come to find any information on him as yet but I hope to soon. All I know is that he wrote I'm being stalked by a moonshadow.
He was born in aswarby, Australia in 1972 on January 14 at 4:27 pm. He was married at the age of 35 to Joann pringle, they had five children, Harry, Sue, Margret, Ingrid and Tom. That is when he started his writing career at the age of 47.

Answer 10/12/07 I believe this to be correct, though of course I can't comment on the actual time of birth. I understand that Doug MacLeod no longer writes, having become disillusioned with the industry. He is currently a metallurgist working in the West Australian town of Port Hedland. His children all attend St Cecilia's Primary School. His wife Joann (not sure of spelling) is an ethnic garment maker. I know Doug through the local boules team. Hope this is of some help.

Update 28/12/07 Sorry, I seem to have the wrong Doug MacLeod. The one I know does have a wife Joanne but he has only three kids at St Cecilia's (my own kids' school). He was a science journalist but gave up the work to return to a full-time job in Western Australia. Now that I look at the original answer it does seem a little strange. If he was born in 1972 how could he have started a writing career at the age of 47? I suspect someone is having a lend, as we say in Australia. I googled and found there is a musician called Doug MacLeod but I guess this isn't the right guy either, as I don't find any reference to him writing a book called 'I'm being stalked by a Moonshadow'. Maybe someone else could help with a more accurate answer? I probably should have asked Doug before making my post. Sorry to have misled anyone, and to have unintentionally spread specious information on the internet. To the best of my knowledge, there isn't a place called Aswarby in Australia. I probably should have checked that too.
