Best Answer

The Mitsubishi Montero is RWD but only when it is in 2WD, when shifted into 4WD it obviously uses all 4 wheels. But when just going around the city and high way it is RWD.

When towing a vehicle behind a camper does the mileage add up on that vehicle?

If it is FWD and you tow it with the front wheels off the ground then the odometer will not add mileage. If it is RWD and is a manual transmission, same thing applies. If on the other hand it is an automatic RWD then you must disconnect the drive shaft to tow with the wheels down which will not add mileage. A FWD should never be towed with the front wheels down. Doing so on either vehicle with an A/T will damage the transmission.

Will a ca18 clutch go in a sr20?

CA18DE(T) RWD & SR20DE(T) RWD clutches have different bolt patterns on the pressure plate. The CA18DE & KA24DE clutches are VERY similiar. You can use the KA24DE pressure plate on the CA18DE(T) flywheel, but you must remove one of the dowel pins. The fit is extremely tight, but it works.

What does the at button on the dash of a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero do?

My 2000 has it too. Haven't tried it to see if a 'hold' light lights up, but the owner's manual also says something about this light. It's called an A/T mode change switch. In the book, they only repeated the info about the light. http://www.mitsubishi-forums.com/t3671-rvr-a-t-switch.htm I have a 2001 Mits Montero Sport, and I have found that when you are climbing a grade, your 'automatic transmission' will automatically downshift when pressing the accelerator to the floor. If you don't want it to shift on it's own, use the A/T button to hold your transmission in the gear you want it. A hold light will illuminate on your dashboard underneath the speedometer if the A/T light has been depressed. Hope this helps!
