bad wiring in your steering column to the hand control?
Try Replacing turn signal flasher
A defective brake light switch could cause the problem. Also a defective turn signal switch could also. The brake lights work through the turn signals. It cancels the brake light so that the turn signal can work.
When the signal lights are not working on a car, there are a couple of things that could be going on. One could be that the bulb needs to be replaced. The other possibility is that the signal relay needs to be replaced.
There could be a severed connection somewhere along the line, or it could just be a blown fuse
Short to ground.
If the turn signal is working it's either the brake light switch or the turn signal switch.
First, check all fuses. Then see if you are getting power to the bulbs. Then the next possibility would be the turn signal switch.
Headlight power is not controlled by the ignition switch or keys. Damage to the turn signal lever could cause the 'flash to pass' circuit to stay on. Damage to the light switch could also cause the lights to stay on.
You could have a blowen fuse or a faulty connection!
it could be a bad relay
A health hazzard is a warning against what could potentially adversely affect one's health
Yes that could be the cause. If you keep blowing a fuse, either you have a short, loose connection, too small a fuse, or the circuit is overloaded.
