Chances are one of the pads was not mounted properly, causing it to slip out of place and grind against the rotor. Remove the tire in which the grinding is coming from. Check pad placement. If they are indeed aligned properly, maybe try having your rotors machined. Hope this helps. ~Trina~

The grinding noise you hear are your shocks and struts. If you experience bouncy while you are driving, as well, you should have them changed.

You at least need to take care of the brakes right away. The grinding probably means that the disk brake pad(s) are worn. The irregular braking action is caused by a warped rotor. The brake job will include resurfacing or replacing the rotor and should eliminate the problem. As for the turbin-like noise, I'd have to hear it.

I would guess that it is the wheel bearing. is it a grumbling sound or an all out grinding? If it is or was a grumbling sound and has turned into a grinding it is probably the wheel bearing.
