The key will not come out of the ignition or start in a 1997 Chevy blazer but it does turn over and the neutral safety switch was replaced What could it be?

replace entire ignition switch. refer to Mitchell Manuel for precise removal instructions and special tools needed. ++ ANSWER ++ Mine did that for about a month. I just kept turning 97 Blazer on and off till it released the key. Been about a year and it hasn't repeated. Sure was frustrating. At one point I was leaving the key in it (throw a towel over the column) and used a spare key to get in & out. That is what insurance is for right?!!
