You could have a faulty bulb. Check for contact in both bulbs if they are new.
Could be the bulbs or the fuses or the flashers or the signal switch assembly
You may have a relay problem your flashers and turn signal are on different relays or there could be a problem with the wiring in the steering column that goes to the turn signal
Could be a bad bulb or socket - try removing one bulb at a time to check Could be a bad switch in steering column Could be a bad flasher
The turn signal switch in the colum could be bad COULD B the TurnSignal switch OR the Flasher 4 the Emergency FLASHERS (because there is 2(two) Flashers & the Brake light Switch on the Brake pedal could B Bad.(turnsignals Have there OWN Flasher) the emergency flasher switch has 3 electrical contacts.sometimes they overheat and melt into the red flasher switch deforming the whole switch.unfortunatly the whole blinker and flasher needs to be replaced.
Usually a burnt out bulb
The term 'flashers' means someone who shows or exposes his or her body parts to the public. These body parts could be either the stomach or the genitals.
On the 1979 B200 Sportsman V8 if the brake pedal makes all signal lights come on and hazards and flashers do not work on their own, it could be the flasher, but the culprit could also be a burned out bulb or a short in the wiring.
Make sure ALL of the bulbs are working. If one or more bulb has failed, the flashers stop so that you'll be forced to check them out. If it's not a bulb, it could be the turn signal switch.
It could be a bad ground, also check the fuses its a 14A Fuse in the top of the block and all the lights (if one light is out that side wont work)
Could be a blown fuse, or a bad blinker module. First check your fuse panal, and make sure all your fuses are present, and good. Next check to see if you have 4 way (emergency) flashers. If these work on all four corners. Turn off the 4 way flashers, and try your turn signal again. If they still dont work, you might have a bad flasher, or a bad multifunction switch. If the lights dont work when checking with the 4 way flashers, then check your bulbs on all 4 corners. The rear bulbs are usually easiest, and the most important.
In many cars, a solid turn signal illumination means that a bulb needs to be replaced. if they don't light at all, it could be a bad connection. wear gloves if you try to inspect the wireing. but you may want to go to a mechanic if a new bulb doesn't fix the problem. ------------------------ The first thing to check is ...do your hazard flashers work ? If the hazard flashers work then you are not dealing with bad bulbs or a bad connection. 1st - check the blinker fuse 2nd - check or replace the flasher unit. I usually take the flasher unit out of the hazard flashers and swap it with the blinker flasher unit. (if the hazard flashers worked then that flasher unit is good) You can find the flasher unit by listening for and following the blinking noise. 3rd - usually at this point i end up replacing the turn signal unit. I have replaced many bad flasher units in my time.
Replace the Flasher Relay. Also it could be faulty multi-function switch(usually signal arm don't work right). Located on top of steering column.remove cover(easy fix).got one for $15 in a wrecking yard works like new.
