Canada had a part in WW2 even though it is not know very well. The Canadians landed on the beaches of Normandy and had many other parts in WW2. They were the only Force that met their D-Day objective.
better answer:
Canada played a big role in World War 2
it gave Britain and other allies supplies for war worth millions of dollars and also supplied weapons
Canadian troops fought in the Dieppe Raid, Battle of the Atlantic, Battle of Britain , battles in the south East Asia against the Japanese and in Hong Kong
finally Canada then took part in the D-Day attack on German occupied Europe when they landed in Normandy
and as stated above they were the only force that met their objective
then, another thing this time Canada's efforts were recognised and this helped make the world well aware that Canada was a new influential middle power nation
Canada has and still is a member of the commonwealth realms, that is the head of state is Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. As a major part of the pact, if one of the realms is attacked then the other countries are obliged to come to the defense of that country. In this case the United Kingdom went to war as a result of a pact the UK had with Poland guaranteeing protection if Germans invaded. Thus the Canadians didn't have to join, but knowing the situation of the nazi strength and their intentions, the canadians joined. They contributed many supplies, ships, and manpower. If you studied WW2 in detail you should have heard of "Wait for me, Daddy" which was a picture taken in 1940 when the Royal Canadian Parliment ordered the full mobilization and deployment of the Royal British Columbian National Reserve Forces, on the day of the deployment the royal troops marched from the barracks on one side of New Westminister (city) to the aeroports and a boy chased his father....
Well... When World War two started getting big, and the Western World startedfeeling threatened Canada teamed up with North America They built weapons in their factories. and even invaded on D-day. unfortunately for Canada they arrived early and were completed slaughtered. and pretty much gave the Germans target practice. but after the were the economy was a little shaken up, but other wise financially savy.
Canada, as a part of the United Kingdom, was among the Allies in WW II, and Canadian
military forces served bravely and well, particularly members of their Air Force and Army, who were instrumental in the Normandy invasion and the rest of the war in Europe.
The Royal Canadian Airforce (R.C.A.F) was active at the battle of the Britain in 1940.
On sectors in the D-DAY landings Canadian soldiers were present
Many soldiers were sent over to help fight. Also many weapons were sent over for the soldiers to use. The Canadian military forces did a lot more then you can imagine.
