check your clutch slave cylinder for leaks, its bolted on your transmission, about 20 bucks
The clutch pedal.
the slave cylinder is bad
It depends on the type of clutch linkage. If it's mechanical linkage the clutch could be worn and the rod dropped out. If it's a hydraulic clutch, the clutch master or slave cylinder could be worn out.
An air conditioner clutch will not engage without voltage. If it doesn't engage, the compressor will not turn.
the front end load bearing or other bearing in the gearbox will be stuffed. when you engage the clutch the gearbox doesnt have any drive thru it so stops turning and then you noise stops.
If the clutch won't engage, the clutch disc or pressure plate has probably broke apart. If the clutch won't disengage, the clutch hydraulic fluid reservoir is empty because of a leak in the system.
you must have a clutch. put in second gear and push it and pick up some speed ,then engage cluch and put in second gear and release clutch ,make sure u have the key turned on.
Is to disengage and engage
bad clutch cable, or not enough oil on the clutch plates.
you need to bleed your clutch fluid
it might not have any hydrolic fluid in the clutch master cylinder to engage the cluth or your clutch might me shot and just won't engage at all meaning you need a new one (was there a smell in the car right before you couldn't use clutch? that might of been the clutch burning up). don't quote me on all that I'm just telling you what you can check.
The torque converter and clutch are the point where the engine and the transmission engage.
