Just what it is called. It Senses knock/Ping/Valve Clatter.Sometimes Caused by poor fuel / Bad Gas/Incorrect Timing. The sensor senses Noise/viberation then tells the computer to correct the timing retarde/advance. It is usally mounted on the lower part of the engine block right side. It looks like A temp.senser BUT larger with A single wire at the top.Good Luck Darwin B
