on some cars it means it has a bad oil pressure sensor
The check engine light comes on at start up for a bulb check. If it stays on with the engine running the computer has detected a malfunction. You need to have it checked for codes.
The check gauges light comes on when one of the gauges is not in the safe range.

ask the main dealer it could be lots of things you could check the fuses first
Check the ground wire to the bulb assembly and check the wire connections and the socket for corrosion or heat damage.
check your camshaft sencor and your crankshaft sencor.
I once had the same problem in my 89 Sunbird turbo. The computer "ECM" went bad and the speedo stopped working. I would see what ECM codes you have causing the check engine light and go from there.
