Central Sequential Fuel Injection (CSFI)
No.
Do you have the Correct firing order 18436572
The CSFI (Central Sequential Fuel Injection) system calls for 56-62 psi.
constant ? fuel injection CENTRAL SEQUENTIAL FUEL INJECTION (LOOKS LIKE A "SPIDER")
Locating on a 2000 s10 pickup truck: bronzer idea
The fuel filter is located on the driver side under the frame just between the wheel and cab.
The 1996 Chevrolet Silverado no longer came with throttle body fuel injection. It probably has the central sequential fuel injection system (CSFI) where each cylinder has its own fuel injector.
Sounds like the coolant temperature sending unit (CTS sensor) It detects the current temperature of the radiator fluid and determines whether it should choke the throttle body or not. It usually screws into the intake near the thermostate housing. Trace the top radiator hose to the intake / thermostate housing location and you will see it. Usually has 2 wires going to it.
The 1995 Chevrolet S 10 4.3 engine will interchange with the 1998 S 10 pickup truck. The motor mounts and the wiring harnesses are exactly the same. The fuel systems may be different. The 95 may have the throttle body fuel injection (TBI). The 98 is probably the CSFI (Central Sequential Fuel Injection).
The 95 4.3 was not exactly the same as the 96' 4.3. In general, the block(casting), the intake, heads are all different. In addition, the oil pan for '96 and up is an aluminum pan, the '95 had a stamped steel. Also the '95 4.3 were either TBI or CPI engines, '96 and up were CSFI engines. These engines are not interchangeable, one will not bolt up to the other and vise versa. Hope this helps.
Possibly something wrong with CSFI ( central sequential fuel injection)system. Or maybe wrong fuel pump installed. If fuel system is TBI (looks like a carb.) then maybe aproblem with fuel pressure regulator. You could also have an electrical issue, check for power at the the fuel pump. Uses a fuse and a relay ( both under hood)
Hi, am currently doing this job. I am using chiltions full size truck manual, 1988-98. Manual # 28624. This is a pretty good book. Intake manifold section 3-22. What it doesn't tell you is: you must push the csfi through the upper intake manifold. I would be happy to help you in more detail: Call my cell phone anytime. 760-792-2449. It's much easier that way. Simple when ya understand the trick! Ciao! Scott.
