If it's the Buick 231 V-6 the firing order should be 1-6-5-4-3-2. If you're running a Chevy 305 it will be 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. And if you have the rare California-only Chevy 350 the firing order will be the same as for the 305.

I have an '87 s10 with a 2.8L v6, the firing order is 123456. I am quite sure that your firebird is the same.
Firing order 1-2-3-4-5-6
It is 1-6-5-4-3-2 and the dist turns clockwise.
The fuse box for the 1986 Bonneville is under the dashboard. The box has a small cover over it and you'll see it if you look just above the brake pedal and a little to the left.
123456 is the firing order.#1 is if you are looking at the front of the car to your left the last plug wire on the left would be #1
