COULD BE YOUR TRANNY,IF YOU HAVE AN AUTO TRANNY. GO TO LOCAL SHOP AND SEE IF ANY ONE CAN READ THE CODES FOR YOU. SECOND THOUGHT I COULD BE THE SECONDARY COIL IN THE DISTY. SEE WHAT TYPE OF WARANTY YOU HAVE ON YOUR DISTY. IT IS POSSABLE THAT YOU HAVE THE WRONG DISTY IN YOUR CAR. THEY MAKE A SMALL CAM AND A LARGE CAM DISTY YOU MAY NEED THE LARGE CAM WHICH ALSO TAKE A DIFFERENT ROTOR SAME CAP. I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MINE, TURNS OUT IN MY LITTLE RINKY DINK 4 CYL. CAR WITH A MANUAL TRANS YOU NEED A HIGHER OUT PUT, WHICH THE LARGE CAM PUTS OUT A HIGHER OUT PUT.
I had the same problem on my 1999 Windstar. It turned out that the light bulb for this indicator was burned out. I simply replaced it and the problem was solved!!

hey man all you have to do is earth out the cat wire and problem solved ,you will have two or one wire comming from the cat , hope this helps

I am having the same problem. I had the fuel pump replaced and the problem was solved, but now the car stalls when I make a left turn. the engine light still goes on, but not when the gas tank is full. I suspect something malfunctioning in the gas tank, or in the fuel delivery system itself.
