Change out the switch. Bad switch!!
Usually a bad hazard flasher module a common problem. Try playing with hazard switch.
the hazard switch has two sets of contacts. when hazards turned on, blinkers cannot work, even if hazards dont work.for blinkers to work, hazard sw must be in off position-this reconnects blinker circuits to work normally. BUT-the contacts in the hazard sw get dirty and wont reconnect the blinkers to work
it might be the hazard switch all the blinker circuit runs through it.
What year is your Impala? 2001
A Hazard light on a car is nothing more then all 4 blinkers going at the same time. Hope This Helps.
Separate circuits.
Check your fuses if it is not your fuses i would say check your hazard switch, mine went bad on my Nissan and caused that problem
It shouldn't, if it is installed correctly. If I were you I would consult with a professional.
The turn signals are controlled through the hazard warning switch. I have an 01 Alero and had the same problem. I had to replace the hazard warning switch. The dealer wanted like $90 for the switch, or you can try a salvage yard, which I did and payed $10. Hope this hepls.
try playing with ur hazard lights. mine has a short somewhere and i have to wiggle the hazard light switch then the blinkers work
i had the same problem...turned out the hazard flashers button on top of steering column was in the wrong position ! ...talk about simplr..hope it works for you
If it's both sides then its probably the hazard warning switch that has failed. The relay for both the hazards and the blinkers is built into the switch. Cleaning the switch contacts sometimes works.
