Vitamin D? We used to think that Vitamin D was only good for your bone health. But that is not true any more. About 25 years ago some researchers found that people in the northern climate - like Canada and Northern Europe - had larger incidents of cancer. That raised a lot of eyebrows. Since then they have found out that Vitamin D - particular in its (liquid) calciterol form- is produced by our exposure to the sun. It has also become clear now that the lack of Vitamin D is the cause of many cancers, but especially of breast and prostrate cancer. Much research in the last 15 years has broadened the list of cancers caused by the lack of sunshine. Visit http://www.vitamindcouncil.com/news.shtml for more info.
Milk is a good source of vitamin D.

No, vitamin D is not from jade stone. Vitamin D is an animal product. Good food sources of vitamin D are milk, eggs, fish, beef, etc. We can also produce vitamin D in our skin when it is exposed to ultraviolet radiation (usually from the sun).
There is no known good natural source of vitamin D other than exposure to sunlight. If needed, there are always Vitamin D supplements, however these aren't as efficiently absorbed compared to the natural source.
