The motor that best suites the Lexus SC300 is the Supra TT motor. You can also put the J-Spec Soarer TT motor. It's costly, but it's well worth it if you want the power.
But youll need to know the name of the engine an the different types of the engine not just the car its in....the supra tt had 2 engines the 2jz-gtte vvti an just the regular 2jz-gtte...now if you plan on adding internals to it...such as cams..DO NOT go with the vvti...now if you wanna go jdm style...the soarer came in many different types but the best an only jdm recommended swap is the 1jz-gtte.The 1jz-gtte came out of the JZZ30 soarer....now you have to think about price an how much you wanna spend...for a 2jz with the 5spd your looking at 4 g's easy.. an even higher for the 6spd...around 5500-6000...but for the 1jz you can buy the engine an a 5spd for under 2 g's...but good luck with your swap
You can only swap an engine of a Civic Hatchback with an engine of a newer car. Its only legal to swap in engines of the same or newer OBD series. So the Civic engine you swap with has to be a 94 or newer but any of those engines will fit.
In the transmission!
Yes, not a problem. Any unfit components swap it from your old engine.
i wouldn't swap it, the 87 is carbureated and the prelude is fuel injected, just put the same engine in. the 87 accord engine has less hp .
easy, take out the old engine, and put in the 350. it really is that simple.
it depends, do you wanna swap with a V6 or just and I-4
Yes. The engine can be replaced with a different type, usually with better performance.
Almost any swap is possible, depending on weather or not you are willing to put the time and effort in to doing it. Some are easier then other's while some are quite complex. In your case It should not be to complex. When getting the 3.8L get a "Complete Drop Out" which gives you Engine PCM, Harness ect. you might also have to swap the engine cradle for the mounts to line up. but if you are willing to put the time and effort in anything is possible.Adam .SSloppy backyard Mechanic.
I am unsure about this so don't quote me directly, but I believe you can't put an s2000 engine in an accord. I know inter-Honda engine swaps are common, but they all seem to be of the FWD variety. The S2000's engine is situated differently as it is a RWD vehicle, so I would imagine an engine swap would entail a whole drivetrain swap as well.
ya if there is enough room in the engine compartment. but you might have to put a bigger transmission to handle that 440 .
2jz swap, hands down the best choice.
Yes of course you can, but it isn't easy doing such a swap.
Nothing, go buy a Chevy and put a Corvette engine in it.
It is not a direct swap. They are not the same engine. The Jeep is an old AMC engine, the other is Chrysler.
Yes it is possiable. You can buy a engine swap kit for your Blazer from Jegs.com that includes motor mounts, oil pan, exhaust with headers for around $700 bucks. Just search "engine swap" As far as passing an emissions test that's another story.
There Several Swaps that can be done to the ZX3 Focus . Kugel Komponets offers a V-8 Swap to put a 5.0 or a 351 Windsor. To do so it must be converted to Rear Wheel Drive. I have also Seen a 2.3 Turbo Swap from a mustang.also Rear Wheel Drive Some Swaps to do and Keep it Front Wheel Drive would be: A SVT engine swap which can be done with little modification,A V-6 Cougar Swap, A Duratec Swap, a Sho Taurus Swap. Others can be done if u wanna pioneer a design.
CompatableI think that the difference between the two is that the lx is probably carbureted and the lxi is fuel injected, if the engine is the same size and the cars are compatible years then the swap should be no problem as long as you keep the intake system from your car and put it on the donor engine, otherwise a computer swap and engine wiring harness may be necessary.
the block & heads are the same you just have to pull the 305 out & put the 350 back in
Anything is possible. It would not be a direct swap.
The "small block" Chev engine is a popular engine swap for this car. As to the twin turbo that is going to be a large amount of work but completely doable.
Whatever the manufacture recommends.
Yes you can put a 2g engine in a 1g car with the 2g wiring harness its kind of a pain just to swap it out and it is even more of a pain if the one you are swapping it to is a n/a. If that is the case you have to rip half of the car apart to drill out driveshaft bolts just a real pain. But anyway long story short you yea. lol
yes.. i have a 99 grand am gt come stock 3400 and i put a 3100 in it.. runs perfect..
Actually, I had a 97 Beretta engine put into my 95 Lumina and it was fine.
4cyl = Mazda BP engine v6 = KLZE engine
