Most things that people in Great Britain eat but some things are like horse and rabbit which isn't very usual for people in great Britain to eat

Typical dishes in Sweden is called "Husmanskost", (hus-house, man-well...man.. and kost-food, so its housemansfood). This is typical traditional foods like:

meatballs, lingonberryjam (native Swedish berry), potatoes, brown sauce

Palt - Dumplings made with raw potatoe, wheat(whole grain). Sometimes it is stuffed with pork, which is Pitepalt. Eaten with lingonberryjam, syrup or butter (or everything, depending on taste).

Swedish panncakes- not like American panncakes. Our panncakes resembles crepes. They are thinner, lighter and usually served as a main dish (often wheat mixed with whole-grain for a more healthy meal) or as a dessert. Eaten with jam, (not lingonberry).

Raggmunk - Panncakes with raw potatoe. Eaten with lingonberryjam and/or pork/bacon.

Prinskorv (prince sausage) - Small hot-dog like sausages.

Falukorv - Falukorv is a large traditional Swedish sausage made of a grated mixture of pork and beef or veal with potato starch flour and mild spices. Protected by law.

Surströmming - Being fermented, Surströmming has a strong odor and unique flavour and is considered an acquired taste even among swedes.Smells like hell. Never tasted it.

Ostkaka (cheesecake) - This is NOT similar to cheesecake. Dessert.

Prinsesstårta(princess cake) - A large cake, made of sponge cake layered with whipped cream, and custard under a green marzipan coating with powdered sugar on the top; often decorated with a pink marzipan rose.

Kladdkaka- Similar to brownies, except it is gooier. Eaten with whipped cream or ice cream.

Lussekatt- Saffron bun, eaten during Christmas.

Pepparkaka - Gingerbread cookie

Swedes also eat a lot of moose/salmon/deer/chicken/pasta/pizza/tex-mex food. Swedish cuisine is greatly inspired by other cuisines. Such as American, French, Spain, German and Eastern Cuisine. Swedes eat a lot of fruit and vegetables in general.

An example of inspired dishes is a variation on kebab. Called Souvas. It is basically kebab except the meat is from a deer.

Europe is a continent with many different countries and regions that have different culinary cuisines. The Cuisines vary from country to country and often favour the climate of the country. In some countrys the cuisine can change form region to region. For example the culinary habits of people in the south of France different from those in the North of France. Just like Wines differ from region to region and country to country.

In most of the country's that I have been to in Europe and you can find the same food that you would find in North America if you want to. Let me know what country you are specifically speaking about and I will get back to you with some more information.
