The US was allowed in to Vietnam by invitation of the democratic leader of South Vietnam. To help stop the North Vietnamese army from moving in and capturing the south. Because of the french pulling out the US was facing an army on foriegn soil alone.
I don't think I understand your questions but if it is: Did the US. have a justified reason in entering the Vietnam War? then the answer is NO.
The US. only entered the Vietnam war in fear of the domino theory, which was that if one country became communist then other countries near by would join, thus the term 'domino'. America, being a democratic country didn't want this so they went in to stop it.

Depends on your view of the war. The USA really was frightened by communism as a new super power ( Google domino effect ), and wanted to end it right there. However in hindsight it looked like a bloody war that really solved nothing and made america look hella stupid
