I started this project with a set of Allen wrenches but didn't have the 9/32" that was required....
So I just thought I'd mention that you need a 9/32" Allen wrench to remove the caliper on the 2002 Dodge Dakota and it isn't the most common in standard sets so make sure you have one before you pop the tires off and have no other vehicle to run out to the store...
Comment to above: I was able to find a 7 mm hex head socket that worked.
Answerhaha... if u want to remove them to replace worn pads, u need a set of Allen wrenches, a pry bar or LONG screwdriver (not to big), and quite possibly, a can of good penatrating spray such as PB Blaster. If u are takein them off completely, add a pair of Side Cutters...actually could be 1 of 3 different tools to remove the calipers ..they used torx,Allen and socket wrenches ..could be any of the above ..gm is the one that mostly used the t50 Allen wrenches
Probably a T45 torx.
They most likely will not clear the brake calipers.
Sticking brake calipers. This can be caused by moisture in the brake fluid which will cause the calipers to rust. Replace the calibers and replace all the brake fluid. It can also be caused by driving with your foot on the brake.
Remove the wheels then the calipers. Replace the pads and press the pistons back into the calipers with a "C" clamp. Be sure to install any anti-squeek grease or shims included with the pads.

Lift the car, remove the tires, remove the brake shoe/calipers, and remove the old brake pad. Put in the new brake pads, replace the brake shoe/caliper, replace the tire and lower the car.
Lift the vehicle on a car jack, remove the tire, remove the brake shoe/calipers, and remove the old brake pads. Put in the new brake pads, replace the brake shoe/calipers, replace the calipers, and lower the car.
Unless the calipers are frozen- you will have a slight drag as the brake pads maintain contact with the caliper

You will need to remove the tire and wheel from your 2005 Dodge Durango. Remove the brake pad Springs and calipers. Tap the rotors with a hammer to loosen them. Slide the rotors off. Reverse the process to install the new rotors and brake pads.
Should be 'slip on' type retained only by wheelnuts and the brake caliper. Jack up the front end and support safely on blocks or stands. Then remove the wheels. Now remove the brake calipers (usually 2 7mm hex key bolts per caliper) and hang them up with wire. Do not let calipers hang by the brake hose! Also do not allow the brakes to be applied without the rotor between the brake pads! Now the rotor should slide right off the hub. Installation is same steps in reverse.
