The correct torx bit would be a T45. When replacing the drain plug, wipe the pan surface first, then install with a new gasket. a ratchet and the right sized socket

Get service manuals but even then you need special tools and its not for the faint hearted to change the timing belt on Cateras

The drain pipe in my basement is flooding. What are some drain pipe repair tools that will remedy this situation?

No, removing the oil filter will only remove what oil is trapped in the oil filter. If you cannot get the drain plug off then you will have to insert a tube down the dipstick tube and pump the oil out. My advice it to take the vehicle to a trusted mechanic and have them remove the drain plug. It can be removed with the proper tools.

No tools needed, that 1997 Cadillac Deville doesn't have a timing belt.

AnswerYOu more than likely do not. Especially if you have to ask. The starter is located under the intake manifold. Which first envolves removing the intake manifod. Is that enough said?you will need to remove the motor mounts and jack up the engine to have clearance. Get more details from the free repair guide section on the auto zone website. I have just experienced this. time consuming but not difficult.

Drain cleaning is not an easy task. Asking a professional to do it can remove the headache of clearing a drain without the tools a professional would carry. If your drain backs up frequently and because a problem, it would be best to contact your local plumber or specialized drain cleaner to take care of your issue.

The tools needed for an oil change tend to be common tools. A floor jack is needed to access the oil pan. A pan which is used to drain oil into. A wrench and socket set is used to remove and replace the oil cap.

It can be done by touch but the risk to damage the headlight assembly (ass'y) is high. To take out the ass'y is done by removing the grille (4 screws) then the molding under the ass'y (no tools) then 2 screws under the ass'y. To replace the bulb by touch, remove the cover above the headlight (looks like a part of the shroud). Remove the black plastic cover. Pinch and remove the wire harness, pinch and remove the bulb holder. The bulb holder has a wire retainer similar to a paper clip and can pop out of position easily. Pinch and remove operations can break a plastic hinge that's necessary for headlight aiming (that's the risk). It seems like a lot of trouble to take out the whole ass'y but its really one of the easiest things you can do on a Catera. Start to finish it will be about 30 minutes for each light.

On the lower END of the radiator, passenger (right) side. However, this info is NOT useful, as it is well nigh impossible to access with tools or fingers. You can see it (with a mirror), but that's it! Better plan on removing the lower hose to drain. The Jeep Cherokee radiator drain plug is plastic and very fragile. You should remove the lower radiator hose to drain the cooling system.

Early Saturn VUE's use a Opel designed V6 engine. This engine is also used in the Cadillac Catera, Saturn L series, and Saab vehicles. This engine does use a rubber timing belt that does have to be replaced every 90-100k miles. It should be noted this engine requires some very special tools to replace the timing belt. Pretty $$ tools. The tools can be rented here for 30 days: http://www.ledfix.com/timingbelttoolrental.html
