there is an electric idle air control motor on the throttle body of this car. if the wiring seems sound, replace the motor. you wont be sorry (except the part is over $200.00 i think) You could also have a failing fuel pump (or clogged filter to the fuel pump). If it's the filter, it eludes detection by a fuel pump test and needs a visual inspection. If the problem gets worse the longer you drive the car, the fuel pump may be getting overheated from the strain, but quickly recovers after a minute when you stall out at a light. The whole problem begins as a clogged filter, but eventually causes enough overheating to damage the fuel pump. The final diagnosis becomes a fuel filter for $200 up plus labor.
Another suggestion: I replaced the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor. It is very simple to replace. Cost about 150 at local chain auto parts store. I tried this while also putting in some fuel injector cleaning fluid in the gas tank. Its been 2 years and my Camary V6 98' has stopped stalling. I got suggestion from the internet and I'm returning the favor. Thanks!
my dashboard lights went out, changed fuses, they worked for one day then went out again, all fuses are good.
If its not the fuses and you are getting power to the lights its most likely your ground not making contact. Clean all connections and try again.
Disconnect the battery for couple minutes. But if you have problems with your engine or other monitored systems the light will go on again.
Ask this question again as "How do you rebuild the engine in a 1994 Camry with _____ engine?" replacing _____ with the specific engine in your car.
I just replaced the EGR on my 1997 Toyota Camry 4cl and it was about $300, the downside is that I purchased a part with only a 6mo warranty and at 7 mo it went out again...
do it yourself dont ever try to ask this question again.
A reset button for headlights?
Looks like you shouldn't have opened it. A Durant Toyota mechanic opened mine and it never worked again.
i have a toyota camry 92 model and i overfilled mu engine oil i just wanna know how i can get rid of the white smoke it was running like crap so i replaced the oil again and drained it to the right amount and replaced the spark plugs the motor is running fine again just smoking again what can i do

The best way is to buy a book on your model and see if you can do it. Then! Ask again on this sight for help when you feel confident that you know what your doing to repair the speedometer.
This is the best advise you will get. go to a Toyota dealer (Not any aftermarket parts store) and but a Toyota reman alternator. If you put an aftermarket alternator, you will have problems again. That's good advise from a former Toyota technician. Good luck.
There are two wires under the seat responsible for the seat belt alarm. You can play with them to disable. If during the state inspection they will find out that you disconnect it again they will make you to connect it again you will not pass the inspection.
It means your steering wheel is locked. try to move it left or right a few times and try to start again. This happens once in a blue moon because of wear and tear. Send for servicing to ensure it does not happen again.
The same way you turned them on. Either you pushed them on, therefore push it again. Or you turned it therefore you need to turn it the opposite direction when you first turned them on.
For security reasons
Disconnect the battery for 5-10 minutes or use an error code reader (it has an option to erase codes). But if you have major problems with engine the light will come off again.
All you have to do is unplug the battery for about 10 minutes. That will reset the system, then drive the car or leave it idle for about 15 minutes. If it comes on again, then you have a problem and you should do a diagnostic test.

$4 to $5 for Toyota o-ring. Don't use after-market. 1 hour labor. Go to dealership because they will warranty it for 12 months. It may leak again after 6 - 10 months. If u buy the Toyota part and give to your mechanic, u will get no warranty.
Dash lights and tailights are generally on the same circuit; Did you check the fuse? You may have a blown fuse. If it blows again there may be a bad tailight bulb that is causing this problem. Good luck.
battery needs replacing, make sure you replace it with a battery of correct cranking amps
From what I have seen in my Camry, it could be a bad bulb.. and/or the door switches are bad, going bad, or dirty. Could also be faulty wiring.. especailly for a car of this age.. At times the light is brigt, other times is very dim.. I woluld check out all the wiring and the switch contacts.. again, could be going bad or dirty.
There is no set answer as they can last 7 years and then again it may only last 1 year. The average is around 4 years. That is assuming the battery has never been run flat which will shorten it's life.
