there is an electric idle air control motor on the throttle body of this car. if the wiring seems sound, replace the motor. you wont be sorry (except the part is over $200.00 i think) You could also have a failing fuel pump (or clogged filter to the fuel pump). If it's the filter, it eludes detection by a fuel pump test and needs a visual inspection. If the problem gets worse the longer you drive the car, the fuel pump may be getting overheated from the strain, but quickly recovers after a minute when you stall out at a light. The whole problem begins as a clogged filter, but eventually causes enough overheating to damage the fuel pump. The final diagnosis becomes a fuel filter for $200 up plus labor.
Another suggestion: I replaced the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor. It is very simple to replace. Cost about 150 at local chain auto parts store. I tried this while also putting in some fuel injector cleaning fluid in the gas tank. Its been 2 years and my Camary V6 98' has stopped stalling. I got suggestion from theand I'm returning the favor. Thanks!
From what I have seen in my Camry, it could be a bad bulb.. and/or the door switches are bad, going bad, or dirty. Could also be faulty wiring.. especailly for a car of this age.. At times the light is brigt, other times is very dim.. I woluld check out all the wiring and the switch contacts.. again, could be going bad or dirty.
I have 98 4 cyliner automatic Toyota Camry. When I'm coming to a red light, and when I'm braking, the car begins to shake, and the shake doesn't stop even when the car is stopped. Howeverif i switch the transmission from drive to neutral, the car stops shaking. If I switch back to Drive or reverse, it car starts to shake again. What could be wrong?
