Its not a question of the best exercise, but a combination of both diet and a good exercise plan. Your going to need to collect some information before starting. Too much too soon and you could start tearing muscle and hurting yourself. Make sure you get a recommendation for a good protein shake. You cannot build muscle without the appropriate intake of protein.

You can also take creatine, and powdered Glutamine as other supplements. Your diet will be extremely important, but yet you do not have to starve yourself. For example, eating five or six small meals with the right food is better than eating one or two big meals per day. Do not put all your attention on what the scale says, but see what the mirror says. Do not get discouraged but persevere and within a few months you will notice a big difference, and so will others.
