SPARK PLUG GAP2006 GMC Truck Sierra 1500 2WD 5.3L SFI HO 8cylThe Spark Plug Gap.040 (In thousandths of an inch)
I do know that on a V-6, the two front plugs on the passenger side can be reached through the fender well, and the back one on that side can be reached by removing the doghouse
The passenger side spark plugs are accessed by removing the R/F tire and inner fender well. Make sure to place vehicle on a (jack stand, in park, chock the rear tire) and not just the jack. With the inner fender liner removed, you will be able to see the spark plugs. Gap is .052-.056" 13lb-ft of torque.
I have a 1994 C1500. The spark control module is located in the cab, on the passenger side, above the heater blower. You can access it through the glove box by removing the inner liner. JFK
To send a spark the the proper spark plug at the proper time.
Sparks plugs are replaced by disconnecting the battery, removing the spark plug cable and boot, and by removing the old spark plug. Next put in the new spark plug, attach the boot and cable and reconnect the battery.
If you mean in the valleys when you look down and there is oil around the spark plugs then it's the o rings in the valve covers that need replacing. Removing the passenger cover isn't too bad but the driver's side is a pain.
