If the A/C system has not been retrofitted for the use of R134A refrigerant, it need to be done. I believe a 2001 vehicle would be equipped with R134A. You can buy a quick charge kit at any auto parts store relatively cheap. Follow the instructions CAREFULLY. If you do it and the charge doesn't seem to last, you may need to aahve it checked over by a registered A/C shop.
Refrigerant is added through the low side service port. That is the smaller of the two fittings on the ac lines.
You need a refrigerant recovery system and gauges to do it properly.

You put it in on the low side in the line about center of the engine.
Add more blinker fluid.
it contains no Freon. It contains R134a refrigerant. If it need refrigerant that means you have a leak. It is illegal to add refrigerant without first repairing the leak. Seek professional help with the repair first.
