If it is a "stock" Honda radio - you must first know the serial number. SOMETIMES - the selling dealer put this code number in the front of the owner's manual. If not - the serial number appears on a plate which is attached on the back or the bottom of the radio. The radio must be removed in order to see it. NOTE: Some, but not all, Honda radios will display the radio serial # in the digital display. Try this: turn the radio on - if the word "CODE" appears in the digital display, turn it off again. THEN - turn it back on while simultaneously holding down buttons #1 and #6. If you have one of the radios on which this trick works, the radio serial number will show in the digital display. NOW: take the serial number and either call the 800 Honda Customner Service line or drop by your local Honda dealer, and they SHOULD be able to give you the unlock code. WRITE THIS DOWN SOMEWWHERE - because every time your battery goes dead or the power is disconnected from the cars electrical system, this same thing will happen again.
The code is specific to the radio in your Honda. The dealer may be able to tell you the code. If they do not have it stored in their computer, you will need to get the Serial # off the radio. With the serial # they can find the code.
You have to go to a Honda dealer and they will give you the code.
Are you referring to the radio code. If so it is listed on a small card that came with the car. If you cannot find it contact your Honda dealer. After all this is a new car. You can go to the Honda owners website and register your Honda. There you can also get the radio code.
You have to enter the radio code than came with the vehicle on a small plastic card. If you cannot find the code then go to the Honda Owner's link I will post and register your Honda. You can get the code there for free.
You will need the 5 digit security code that you insert with the radio preset buttons. If you cannot find it then go to the Honda Owners website and register your Honda. You will then be able to get the code for free. Click the link for the website.
You enter the 5 digit code by pressing the radio presets. As there is no 8 on the radio presets the code cannot contain the number 8. To find out what your code actually is go to the Honda Owners website and register your Honda. After registering it you can get the code there by clicking Retrieve Radio/Navi code under quick links. http://owners.honda.com
Open the trunk and check to see if the code is on the underside of the trunk lid. (That is where I find the code to my Honda Accord) If you do not have the code click the link, sign up at the Honda Owner's Link, and then click get radio code.
look in the glove box or the trunk you may find the code.
To reset the radio code in a 98 Honda CR-V, one will need to remove the radio and get the serial number off the radio. Inside the glove box, one can find a small white sticker that has the code in it.
Maybe you do not need to remove the radio. Go to the Honda website and sign up for the Owner's Link. You will be able to get the code there.
in order to get the radio code you must first take out the stereo and get the serial number off the back of the radio then call a Honda dealership with the VIN and proof of ownership and they can get you the code. You then enter the code using the preset buttons. GOOD LUCK!!
It is a 5 digit code. If you cannot find the code written down somewhere in the vehicle or owner's manual then you have but one choice. Go back to the selling dealer and hope they kept a record of the code. If not, you must get the serial # off the radio chassis. With that serial # the Honda dealer can tell you the code. You will have to remove the radio to see the serial #.
