It is in the northeastern United States. It's in the north
eastern United States, made up of Connecticut, Massachusetts,
Maine, Rhode Island, Maryland, Virginia, and New Hampshire.
New England is the northeastern portion of the United States. It is named New England because it was where the English came when they first reached the New World and settled there; they named it after their home.
