Assuming that the Sport is the same configuration as the Country, I can give some input.
Under the hood, behind the washer fluid reservoir and a little below that is where you will find the blower motor. It is fairly easy getting the reservoir loosened, but I recall that it took some effort due to the small bolt/screw heads to remove from the blower motor. It is a good idea to have a magnetic tray nearby , a good light and plenty of time to work in that tight area.
You will want to pay attention to the direction of the blades when replacing the part, there may be a certain way that it needs to go in when replaced.
Good luck.
This is not one to easily answer. You have to rule out a couple of things before you can say it is the blower motor. These include: Fuses, Wiring(looses connectors), blower motor resistor, blower motor relay, blower motor switch, bad heater\ac mode control switch(the part that you adjust on the dash. The last unit is almost never the case. It also over 100 bucks to replce. I would check these first before assuming bad motor. Check the blower motor resistor, (the harness/connection near the fan) they appear to be prone to burning out
The Bower Relay on my 97 jeep Cherokee xj is located behind the glovebox. The glove box will hinge down allowing access to the relay by removing the rubber stops on the glove box opening. The relay is attached in plain sight to a plug with about five wires.
if you mean relay then its on the inside drivers side fender there's 2 ones for the horn and the other 1's for the blower motor if you mean resistor then its right to the right of the blower motor it self hope this helps:)
The blower motor is undrneath the glove box. If your blower does not appear to be working, first try to replace the blower moter resister. This is a very common problem for the Durangos. It is under the glove box toward the middle of the dash. It is held in by two hex-head screws and looks like a credit card.
The blower motor is located under the windshiel washer reservoir on the pasenger side of the vehicle next to the firewall.
It is in the fuse/relay box underneath the hood. It is an Orange Relay
passenger foot well
Passenger side firewall - Easy fix.
Blower motor speed resistors are generally located close to the blower motor.
The Mercury Cougar blower motor is located on the firewall in the engine compartment. The blower motor can be seen on the passenger side of the firewall.
How do I get to the flywheel bolts on a 98 dodge dakota to remove a transmission
either the control head is bad or there is a blower motor resistor that is bad.
Possibly. A bad blower motor resistor would cause the blower motor to either not function or function only on one speed (usually high speed). The air conditioning system is probably set up such that if the blower isn't functioning at all, the air conditioner won't function. Otherwise the air conditioner would overheat.
It's located behind the glovebox, on the passanger side of the dash
Under the dash, far passenger side.
It's located behind the glovebox, on the passanger side of the dash. How hard is it to get to the fan motor?
I belive it is located down under the dash on the passenger side. the older dakotas where mounted on the passenger side of the fire wall. a blower motor resister is usually located close to the actual blower motor.
It is located under the passenger side dash, near the right side panel.
The 1997 Dodge ram blower motor is located on the firewall in the engine compartment. The blower motor will be near the bottom, passenger side, firewall.
Under the dash below glove box. You will see the blower motor and it's to the left of it. You will see a wire harness going to it.
The heater blower motor is on the interior passenger side. It is kind of a round shaped housing facing the floor.
It is on the passenger side, but you have to remove the entire dashboard and do about 30 other things to finally get to it. Good luck.
I have changed resistor a d blower motor still not working, maybe i missed a fuse or could the control switch not work?
30 amp fuse in fuse box.
On the inside of the firewall, below and behind the glove box.
