If this is a 6VD1 engine, the camshaft position sensor will be located on the very back of the left bank head (on the inside, under the intake manifold). The easiest way to have it replaced or removed is to take off the intake manifold. The sensor is only secured with one 10mm bolt but it is a frustrating thing to put it back on with the intake installed, unless you have very slim hands.
It is located between the camshafts right behind the camshaft pulley's.
PO341 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Range Problem
please help
it does not have one, after 2000 modes the camshaft position sensor is eliminated the these vehicles use the use the VRS system to determine where the No. 1 piston is. therefore they only required a Crankshaft sensor not a Camshaft sensor.
Not long at all should take no longer then 5 mins
On the drivers side head..rear of the head directly behind the intake manifold
It is a Throttle Position Sensor
On 97 & earlier it's located on the front left upper corner of the timing belt cover (3.2L). 2.2L it's on top of the front part of the cylinder head between the camshaft sprockets.
how do you replace coolant temp sensor on a rodeo
oxygen sensor
look at the top of the engine, the cover for the spark plugs ends at the front of the engine. Right at that point is where the connector is, to get at the sensor you must remove the serpentine belt, wiring cover, and timing belt cover, and the sensor bolt can be accessed between the camshaft pulleys, its a small torx bolt.
Indicates a fault with the camshaft position sensor circuit. Either the sensor itself, or the wiring for it is faulty. If it occurs after replacing heads or engine assembly, check to make sure it is plugged in completely and that no damage was done to wiring harness.
