Where is the crank sensor located on a 94 ranger 4.0 motor
I have a 92 Bonneville thet needs a crank sensor how do you change it Crank sensor is on the pulley and the teeth on the pulley sits inside of it for a megnetic response for computer. It is held on by two small bolts. I changed my own on my 3.8L and my car doesnt want to shift correctly. You are able to adjust and its very picky where the correct position is.
It tell's it when to shift ....depending on throttle position
shift position sensor failed, or wires are shorted
The crank sensor is located on the bell housing/drivers side from the drivers seat it is @ the 10 o'clock position. This is not an easy job but anyone can do it. Raise the vehicle, take a screw driver & carefully pop the shift linkage off. Move the cable out of the way. If you remove the front drive shaft it is a lot easier. But you don't have to. Work from the bottom it is a long reach. Use a 13mm socket, remove the bolt & shield. Install new sensor making sure that the magnet is clean. The general air gap for the sensor is around half way through the bolt hole that secures the sensor. Reassemble.
The Throttle Position sensor measures the throttle position, which is controlled by the gas pedal. It is used to determine engine load and if it fails it can cause automatic transmission shifting problems.
Check Crank Position Sensor. Is it still connected? Was it improperly installed, came loose and is now damaged (again)? Could be cam sensor. Dumping ECM codes will tell you. Engine could be running in Emergency Run Mode which is about 400 RPM ONLY (so you have the ability to move vehicle if it is in danger) but otherwise, is not drivable.
Probable failed throttle position sensor.
I'm not familiar with a 'shift position sensor', but think it might be actually referring to the neutral start switch, nowadays known as the transmission range sensor. If that's the case, see "Related Questions" below for more
Not sure what you mean by transmission selector sensor. The transmission range sensor reads what position you have selected with the gear shift lever.
tps throttle position sensor
Could be your TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) is bad.
