any where i look on my 87 even in all data it said it was located in the back on the left hand side but it was not there. so i traced the wires to the fan motor and found the relay to be in front of the drivers side head light with very little hand room. Answer On my 84 it is under the driver's side headlight and if you have AC it will be a two speed fan system. If this is the case then the relay will be about 1.5 by 3.5 in and about 2in thick and have 5 or 6 wires on it in a single line. If it's bad then good luck finding one I never did for mine so I made one out of 2 single pole relays. If you would like the diagram and how to make one email me a100rinchhead@Yahoo.com subject fan relay it only takes about 10 min to build and installs with out having to cut any wires.
